Hello Lads and Lassies! It’s a crazy time in our outside world and I’m bringing out all the experiments and fun things to do to keep us focused and busy!
Today, I wanted to share with you our skittles experiment that we had so much fun doing! I also added a few more items to check out at the end of the page.
All you need is:
- White plate
- Warm water
First, start by arranging the skittles around the plate in a rainbow pattern. Like this:
Next, eat the left overs!!
Pour the warm water till it reaches half up the side of each skittle.
What’s happening? It’s magic! And oh so pretty.
I reminded my son about how lucky we are and that each time we see a rainbow we can be reminded of God’s promise for us and about Noah seeing the rainbow for the first time. We’re so lucky!!
Go a little further: We added more water to make a tie-dye effect. Then, we flipped each skittle over to see what would happen.
